Polaris and the North Celestial Pole anchor the sky above while GHA, LHA, Ho, Hs, intercept, azimuth, refraction, parallax, Greenwich Mean Time, sidereal time, the Nautical Almanac and the line of position work through the frame below.
Every element comes back to the same idea: celestial navigation is not one instrument and it is not one calculation. It is observation, time, math and judgment brought together until uncertainty becomes a position you are willing to stand behind.
